In depth

Verdict

RADHARC NA MARA concedes weight all round and spearheads a three-pronged Irish raid on the prize. He ran very well at Clonmel on heavy ground over two and a half miles on his penultimate outing and was still travelling nicely enough when coming to grief three out at Fairyhouse last time. This looks a rather weak contest featuring some out-of-form sorts and he can post a second chasing success. Fellow Irish raiders Inverglen and Chateau D'Eau are hard to split and the Crawford pair certainly deserve to be shortlisted but Royal Mackintosh looks the prime threat if able to reproduce his excellent second to Rolecarr at Kelso after an eight-month break. The veteran of the party is up 4lb for that effort but still looks feasibly treated.
