    Verdict

Proud Times, twice a winner on the all-weather, is the type Alan Swinbank does well with and he's one to note on his hurdling debut. Irish raider Vivaldi has been competing at a decent level since scoring over 2m4f at Ballinrobe but a penalty makes things tough. DARNA is also penalised for his C&D success at the beginning of the month but looked a very progressive type and the third has run well subsequently. He just gets the vote, though Desert Cry has had plenty of success on the Flat abroad and made a fair hurdling debut behind Credit Swap at Leicester. He'll come on for that and looks a big threat along with Kelso bumper winner Freddie Brown, who is bred for this game.
