In depth

Verdict

Optical Confusion was in excellent form at this time a year ago, winning here and at Fairyhouse. He was still running well at the back-end of the campaign so has to be respected. KILDORRERY put a poor run at Clonmel behind him to win convincingly at Cork and a 6lb rise looks manageable as though The Dara Man easily beat Nelly's Money at Limerick, he was very disappointing when tackling 2m5f at Fairyhouse. Defan was just beginning to feel the pinch when taking a crashing fall in a better race than this at Leopardstown in December and has been given time to recover.
