Verdict

RUSSIAN DIAMOND hasn't had much racing since landing a bumper and a maiden hurdle back in 2019 and has fallen twice in three starts over fences. However, he was in front and going well when coming to grief at Galway and gets a chance for compensation. Winning point-to-pointer and hurdler Premium Package never got going behind Spades Are Trumps at Kilbeggan and the winner's yard is represented by Ilikedwayurthinkin, twice a winner over timber at the 2019 Galway Festival but only moderate so far over fences. Scarpeta was a smart hurdler for Willie Mullins and is a fine addition to Andy McNamara's team. He makes his chasing bow and is one to keep an eye on.
