In depth

Verdict

A very low-grade handicap but BARNEY KING (NAP), who has a course and distance victory to his credit, was having only his second start since September when runner-up over a trip too short at Roscommon last month and should go one better. Carmels Boy has to be a big threat if ready after a long break as he beat a huge field at Navan in September and is still very well in compared to his chase rating. Georgie is another who has been chasing and reverts to timber on a lower mark and he'll enjoy the testing ground while Vicalus gained his only victory over timber over this track and trip though that was almost two years ago.
