In depth

Verdict

Equity Swap, a dual winner on the Flat for Tommy Stack, has shown nothing in two starts over hurdles though both were on very heavy ground. Wandering Aengus looked progressive two years ago then had a very long break before returning. A recent run on the Flat will have sharpened him up while Zemario had some solid form on fast ground last summer and is another with a recent run on the level under his belt. Afterclass has run moderately on his two latest starts at Clonmel but winning point-to-pointer CUIL ROGUE put a couple of poor efforts behind him when runner-up in a huge field at Cork and that kind of form can see him home here. MIchael Hourigan's pair Holeinthewall Bar and Long House Saint are also respected in a tricky opener.
