Verdict

Billy's Angel is penalised for his bumper victory here and put a moderate hurdling debut behind him with a very good run at Gowran. English Pale also carries extra for a victory on the Flat but he hasn't done as well as expected over timber after a close second at Naas in January. He could need softer ground as could another Flat winner Skeaping, whose one good run over hurdles was on ground with some give. Vermeulen won at Kempton for John Gosden but hasn't shown much aptitude for jumping in two starts for Gordon Elliott. Artiste Celebre had shown nothing before making his debut for new connections at Cork earlier this month where he showed major improvement to chase home Abraham. A repeat would see him in the frame but the vote goes to SPIN A YARN, who ran very well behind Twobeelucky at Roscommon and the winner has scored again.
