In depth

Verdict

BLACK EMPRESS was well beaten by Whatwillwecallher at Limerick in January but got much closer to her at Punchestown earlier this month and has further progress in her. She can take this though there are several dangers including Fantastic Gold, who produced her best effort to date at Kilbeggan last time though the faster ground may have aided her cause. Fleur De Nuit has been well supported on both recent starts and better is expected, especially on today's softer ground, while Glibin and Moncherie ran well enough behind Annie Other at Wexford to suggest they can get involved here.
