      Verdict

      Although his form figures are far from inspiring, The Cottonwool Kid could easily get into the shake-up now he's had a couple of runs to put him straight. Prominent to two out last time, the Cottonwool Kid appeared to blow up, and in receipt of plenty of weight from the principals could go close. Shepherds Rest looked rather pedestrian last time and has been given a break as well, however he's a notoriously tough ride and doesn't appeal in a race such as this. Good Thyne Johnny has had his chances but is hard to win with, but any money for the Pipe horse Bachiana would be worthy of note.
