In depth

Verdict

Bumper winner Broadway Symphony has been inconsistent over jumps but is much better handicapped over fences than hurdles. Mondo Cane was heavily supported at Uttoxeter but it's difficult to understand why on the balance of his form, though he may be better suited by this longer trip. BALLY BRAES is still a maiden but looks to be coming to hand and only just failed to catch the leader at Huntingdon last time - Jamie Bargary's claim can see him go one better. Matripajo looked a certain future winner when runner-up at Ffos Las in October but broke a blood vessel on his next start at Southwell so is probably best watched for now. Eastern Witness is making his debut over regulation fences but the winning point-to-pointer has only been showing moderate form over hurdles. Upbeat Cobbler ran poorly at Huntingdon after a much better previous run at Southwell while Cheat The Cheater has been beaten when well supported on his last three starts from this mark.
