In depth

Verdict

STONIFIC has to give weight away to some battle-hardened handicappers but is still the choice as he still appeared to be full of running when falling three out on handicap debut last month. This isn't an easy task but he was useful on the Flat and hopefully his class will see him in the shake-up with conditions to suit. Alistair Ralph does well with a small but select team and Seymour Sox still looks feasibly handicapped despite a 6lb rise for a comfortable Hereford victory on heavy. Prince Khurram and Nefyn Point are both consistent types who provide Donald McCain with competitive ammunition, whilst the one to check in the market is the unexposed Kapga De Lily who returns to action for Venetia Williams after a 422-day absence.
