In depth
Verdict
Three of these are previous course and distance winners and a further two have won at the track. Bialco and Christopher Wood are the odd pair but the latter did win on the Flat over the summer and represents Paul Nicholls. Chti Balko looks a better bet than Tawseef of the two Donald McCain runners and is also preferred to last month’s winner Mint Condition, who steps up in class. Ballymoy didn’t take to fences last term but is a Grade 3 winner over timber so much respected as he slips further down the ratings. CHIRICO VALLIS is in the form of his life and can continue his owner’s winning run if he gets his own way out in front again.
