Verdict

BLACK JACARI is the strong selection in this maiden and gets the verdict in front of Mr Thriller and Fujin Dancer. The Alan King trained selection has taken to hurdling well after landing two victories on the flat. Its two starts and two second places for Black Jacari over hurdles, who has displayed a bit of an unwillingness to lead. This though is a big step down in class to attempt to break the maiden and with the form on the level combined with the form over Hurdles so far then in should be no contest with the ground the only thing that can beat him. If things should go awry for our pick then David Pipe's French import Mr Thriller could clean up. He's showed he'll act on testing going after finishing second of 14 on debut and since then consistent performances have come on very soft ground. A transfer of his early form should have the newcomer in the mix. Connections of Richard Fahey's Fujin Dancer can point to a promising hurdles debut when third of five at Aintree in the race where Black Jacari was second. A long break meant the three-year-old was not at full fitness and he should come on from that run. Plenty of form to overturn though with selection Black Jacari likely to get the better of him again.
