        Kahtan Behind Life is Life at Ascot in the Queen Alexandra Stakes. Rated 107 on the flat, has managed to convert that ability to hurdles when winning a maiden hurdle; must be respected today but still a bit to prove.

        Regal Vision (IRE) C&D winner last time by 27L but a poor contest. Carries a penalty for this effort but looks to have his act together; may find others better.

        Arctic Earl First run for new trainer, PU hurdles debut two years ago

        Bachelors Pad Some placed form up to 1m4f. 3 Hurdle starts including here when well beaten.

        Carousing Won at Musselburgh 1m4f and later at Newcastle over 2m. Second twice over hurdles (soft and heavy) in the Spring. Top rating of 99 over hurdles; if he stays the trip must go close.

        Cassia Heights Second in a hurdle at Ludlow last year represents his best effort.

        Danyerman Won a bumper 1998 at Uttoxeter (was disappointing time before when BF Carlisle, reported to be knocked about). Two hurdle starts in the winter were disappointing. He may go better on less testing ground; one to watch.

        Dunster Castle He was going to hack up on April at Exeter when falling at the last. Has not run for a long time but with a Bumper win to his name also he has to be a serious contender.

        Rio Santo (IRE) Has not run for over a year when pulling up in a point to point.

        This One Is A Boy (IRE) Well beaten at Uttoxeter earlier in the month; has a sounder surface today.
