        Verdict

        A very competitive novices hurdle here but the TEAMtalk selection is Multeen River. The six-year-old was a good second behind Jaboune at Wetherby on his debut this season and he should strip fitter here. He will be hard to beat with conditions again in his favour. Spring Dawn rates the main danger. He was a good second behind Shalako last time out at Taunton and a reproduction of that form would see him go close. Ever Present showed improved form when defeating Cyindien but he will find this tougher under his penalty. Dancing Pearl is also worthy of consideration but her best form is on heavy ground and she may be tapped for toe. Alpha Centauri ran better than his form figure indicates on his debut this season and it would be no surprise if he took a hand in the finish. The remainder need to improve on all known form to take a hand in the finish.
