Space Star can follow up at the expense of Kaparolo, with Shady Anne, and Dargaville best of the remainder. Space Star was a maiden on the Flat but opened his account in a conditional jockeys' affair at Taunton recently, and with that confidence-booster behind him, Paul Webber's charge can go in again off the same mark. Kaparolo seems to save his best efforts for Fontwell, and was last of nine here in February. He will need to improve to beat the selection, and a bigger danger may well be Shady Anne, a dual Ludlow winner who lost no caste in defeat when chasing home Party Games under a penalty at Huntingdon. The drop back in trip should help her cause today. Dargaville was third to the useful Dark Society at Fakenham and is worth a mention, while Ball Games finally got off the mark in selling company at Catterick and has more to do, especially on this softer ground. Marginal preference is for Space Star.
