Verdict

New Rules won a Listowel Bumper in June last year after a break but two subsequent runs over hurdles left much to be desired and he is probably best watched on his first start for Jonjo O'Neill. SPIRIT IS NEEDED has had more chances than most and is still to convince over this trip but his overall form looks far superior to that of his rivals and he can finally get his head in front. Forever Waining is related to the stable's useful chaser Always Waining and should make his mark in due course but Rhyton is only a plater and has been struggling lately.
