Verdict

WHAT A SCIENTIST made all the running when providing Nigel Twiston-Davies with another winner at Newton Abbot earlier this month and he can defy the 7lb rise in the weights for that success and follow up here with the main danger rated as Thelobstercatcher. Peter Bowen's gelding reverts to hurdles having fallen in two of his last three starts over fences and could be of interest off what looks a fair mark. Haldibari has been well held in three starts since showing decent form in May and may now be a shade high in the weights, while Jonjo O'Neill's Team Allstar has given little sign of encouragement in recent starts. Stable companion, Englishtown, has been similarly well held of late and of more interest may be Tim Vaughan's Wild Side Of Life, who is surely better than he showed when pulled up at Fakenham when last seen in November and represents a stable that is doing well at present.
