In depth

Verdict

Balerina returned to form at Huntingdon and her 6lb rise is more than cancelled out by Peter Hatton's claim so she should be in the shake-up. Abnaki didn't appear to handle soft ground at Warwick after scoring on good going at Fakenham but this can go to DAWN COMMANDER. Charlie Longsdon's grey, a winning point-to-pointer and hurdler in Ireland, has been staying on very strongly over 2m5f on both starts for new connections and this trip looks ideal. Lord Crewe is extremely consistent and was catching the winner in a decent handicap at Taunton last time and he's at the right end of the weights as is Fentara, though she's yet to prove she stays this far.
