Verdict
KANAD should win this with something to spare ahead of Sonic Anthem, with The Randy Bishop and Killowenabbey the only others worthy of serious consideration in a weak race. Charlie Mann's gelding did well to beat a higher rated rival last time and faces nothing of that calibre here. He's plainly not the force of old but remains a cut above this level and shouldn't have any problems with the drop back to 2m1f. Confidence in our selection is increased by the lack of strength in the opposition here, headed by Sonic Anthem. Danny Cook's mount placed in a couple of similar races at the back end of 2009 and has presumably been kept back for the fast ground he relishes. The fact that he's rated second best and yet has over a stone to find with our selection tells you much about this contest but The Randy Bishop and Killowenabbey still merit some attention having both shown glimpses of ability in the past but clearly both have questions to answer following sub-standard displays last time. This is a weak affair that presents Kanad with what should be a straightforward opportunity.
