Verdict
A match here between Selvas and Sardagna, who are both attempting to complete hat-tricks, and the vote goes to Selvas to do just that. The selection can make the odd mistake in his races, but travels well, goes on any ground and has struck up a good partnership with Tony McCoy. Three wins from his last four starts, including an eased down success over two-and-a-half miles at Market Rasen last time mark him down as the one to beat here, and the drop back in trip should not be a problem. Sardagna stands out as the only serious opponent in the race. Martin Pipe has placed the filly well to win on her British debut in a soft race at Southwell and then follow up in Class E company at Worcester, where she won easily. She is no easy beat here, but it is the filly who has to improve to get to Selvas, and we think the latter will still come out on top.
