Verdict

Perfect Poison isn’t badly treated if a spin around Uttoxeter has blown away a few cobwebs but Donald McCain also runs Tailor Tom with Brian Hughes doing steering. The ground may be a bit lively for the top weight but he did win over course and distance back in January and this is not the toughest of assignments. FLYING VERSE is only 2lb higher than when just beaten over track and trip earlier in the month so looks the one to be though Captain Simon is likely to be thereabouts if handling the step up in trip. Outrageous Romana has won three times this year, including once here, but is looking a few pounds too high now.
