Verdict
MODUS can complete a quick double for his jockey in the McManus' colours. A smart bumper horse and hurdler, connections will be eyeing another trip to The Festival next March if his jumping holds up. Gibralfaro is rated 13lb lower over hurdles than the selection but should also pay his way over the larger obstacles this season as he is still only a five-year-old. Midnight Target did win over timber but appears to have a mountain to climb on these terms if the others complete.
