Verdict

LEADING EDGE can nick this contest; Princess Rose Anne and Towy Valley rate highly amongst the dangers. Mick Channon's tough and consistent filly has already won four times in her career and lines up on a mark just 2lbs higher than when gaining the most recent of those victories at Great Leighs in December. She's versatile with regard to underfoot conditions and has a leading chance in this company. Towvy Valley dipped her toe into claiming company last time and was far from disgraced against more experienced rivals. This is just her second encounter with turf on raceday but there's no reason to believe that she won't handle the conditions. Princess Rose Anne got the better of the selection last June and the pair are closely matched on that running; she has plenty of speed and should give a good account but we don't expect the remaining three runners to be good enough to catch Leading Edge.
