      Verdict

      BLACK TRILBY drops back into maiden company having placed in all three starts in handicaps including a narrow-margin defeat at Sandown last time. He has 10lb in hand with Leicester runner-up Wonderfillo at the weights and should have the measure of the remainder. Soft ground may have been a legitimate excuse for Balestra’s poor effort at Newbury and he’s preferred to Bringit and the newcomer Little Miss Tango.
