In depth

Verdict

Princess Keira wasn't beaten far in two starts at Yarmouth and was well supported there last time but never looked like winning. Glamorous Rocket completed a hat-trick in June and shot up the weights as a consequence but has continued to run well and was caught right on the line at Chepstow. Three Little Birds has been in fine form on the all-weather, scoring at Wolverhampton last month and only just beaten in two subsequent starts on the track though she's now 9lb higher than that victory. Spot Lite won twice here and also scored at Chelmsford in the early part of the summer and has run well enough in his last two starts to suggest he's ready to go in again soon. However, GRANDFATHER TOM (NAP) has been racing at a higher level since completing an all-weather hat-trick in March and is back on the same mark as when last successful.
