In depth
Verdict
Tamilla is proving hard to catch right but 2m on soft going at Ascot last time was too far. Dovena was well behind Flash Bardot at Epsom in July and has switched stables since but the winner would have a chance in this with Rose Dawes taking off 5lb. DIVINA GRACE is back in this grade and over this trip for the first time since second off this mark at Goodwood in June. A winner at Chepstow earlier, Rae Guest’s filly is well worth a second look. Mayfair Gold is having only a second run on Turf but Warren Hill looks a bigger danger having got off the mark at Nottingham last time. She’s a half-sister to the Group 2 winner Global Storm so the extra quarter-mile shouldn’t pose any problems.
