      Verdict

Mine Host stepped up considerably on his disappointing seasonal reappearance on softish going when runner-up to Swing Wing at Epsom and looks capable of landing a race of this nature if reproducing the form. Zone, a stablemate of the colt's Epsom conqueror has more to do at this level after landing a Doncaster maiden last backend while Grampian has struggled to fulfill the promise of his Newmarket victory as a juvenile. Master In Law ran well on his return in Listed company despite not getting the clearest of runs and rates a danger.
