The powerful Newmarket yards of Henry Cecil and Sir Michael Stoute lock swords here, with the former's Claradotnet taken to get the better of Flash Of Gold, with Red Crepe in with a bit of a shout as well. Claradotnet shaped well on her belated debut when a close second to Tip The Dip at Nottingham and runs here from a choice of early-week entries. With Tip The Dip running well at Thirsk at the weekend, the Cecil camp will fancy their chances here. Flash Of Gold disappointed somewhat at Doncaster last time after a fair effort the time before at York so is not one to rely on just yet. Red Crepe battled on well in defeat at Brighton last time and seems a reliable sort. However she may have to step up again in trip to visit the winner's enclosure. That berth should be occupied this time by Claradotnet who can make up for lost time.
