In depth
Verdict
Count Walewski came good when winning a maiden at Brighton earlier in the month and is taken to land his first handicap at the main expense of Lobos and Deeper In Debt. The last mentioned represents the stable of John Akehurst that has been showing signs of a revival of late and ran much better last time when collared close home in a better race than this at Goodwood. He rates a bigger threat than Lobos, who is 10lbs higher than when winning a weak maiden handicap over course and distance last month. Blue Trojan gives the impression of being in the grip of the handicapper at present but is entitled to be thereabouts, as does recent Goodwood winner Mad Carew. Muyassir, who is only 1lb higher than when scoring at Goodwood last time but is non too consistent is another to consider but we are happy to side with Count Walewski.
