In depth

Verdict

Italian Tom ran his best race so far this season over course and distance and has to go on the short-list with an inside draw. Dark Lane, Pick A Little and Triple Dream appear held while Wooden King would have been more of a danger over 5f. Clear Spring is back on a decent mark judged on his latest third at Brighton but it's likely last month's Ascot run will have benefited ANNES ROCKET and Jimmy Fox' entire can get back on the winning trail here if he can hold an early position from a favourable berth. Valmina dead-heated in this 12 months ago but, along with Drawnfromthepast, might need the race this time around.
