In depth
Verdict
Both the Willie Haggas runners Moon Dazzle and Flowerdrum disappointed last time, but can take a hand in the finish here, however for the winner we will turn to Ithaca. Henry Cecil's filly has always been held in high regard and contested some top juvenile races last season. She hasn't really shown that level of form this season, but did put up a gallant effort last time when a close up third to the progressive Antediluvian. If she can repeat that performance today she will be difficult to beat. Flowerdrum was well beaten in a competitive handicap at Goodwood last month, but had previously beaten some decent types at Salisbury. Stable-mate Moon Dazzle was a close up fifth behind Coy in a similar race to this at Ascot last time and will be a big danger to all. Mick Channon's Caldy Dancer may prove best of the others, but on this occasion Ithaca is the one that gets the verdict.
