Verdict

A winner over 1m4f at Pontefract last time, Mister Chiang never figured on a previous attempt over this longer trip. Singing The Blues stays this far but finished just behind runner-up Hermocrates over 1m5f here last month and the latter has disappointed since. Victoriano went close in lowly Class 6 company at Yarmouth last time while Gendarme remains 5lb higher than when scoring over 1m2f at Chepstow and steps up in trip along with DONE DEAL. Not beaten far over 1m4f last year, the latter drops in class on his first start since May and and could go close given Sir Mark Prescott’s yard has been notching-up the winners in the past few days.
