In depth
Verdict
Pat Eddery's Louviere has the highest rating of these and has claims along with the more exposed Guardian Of Truth but Midsummer Fun ran green on her belated debut and should improve for the run so she gets the vote. The selection represents the powerful Godolphin operation and while she did not live up to her pedigree on her racecourse debut, there should be more to come from the daughter of Gone West and she is taken to open her account. Stablemate Dustoori is a half-brother to amongst others Almutawakel but has yet to race and jockey bookings suggest that he is less fancied than the selection. Alan King's Adorabella has shown signs of ability in bumpers and also under flat rules but a bigger threat is likely to come from Louviere who looks to be going the right way. Midsummer Fun showed promise on her debut though and, with more to come, she looks the one they all have to beat.
