Verdict
DARK ILLUSION would likely have finished closer to the winner if not for jumping the path in the closing stages when runner-up at Sandown. Further progress should see him go close but Teddy B never threatened the winner over a slightly longer trip here when second on his debut, though should make the frame again. Virginia Plane finished clear of the rest when finding one too good at Pontefract and can also figure but the rest have some improving to do and the newcomer Shimla Rolann, a full sister to a winning sprinter, is preferred.
