        Verdict

        Blue Velvet was in handicapper's grip when struggling last year but has slipped back down to an attractive mark and bounced back with solid efforts in handicap company of late. Absolute Fantasy gained reward for a string of consistent efforts when pipping in-form rival in competitive sprint last time and, despite 3lb penalty, is sure to give a good account from a low draw. Palawan, penalised for a Folkestone victory last month, was a shade unlucky for today's rider over course and distance last time and also enters calculations. Bandanna would have claims on his Kempton third behind Mitcham but flopped last time and is held by Blue Velvet while Bond Boy should be sharper for his recent return and is closely matched with Absolute Fantasy on the revised terms.
