    Verdict

Two previous course and distance winners in Jewelled and Second To Nun line up for this contest and Spinning Ridge will attempt to reverse the result against Jewelled after losing out to her last month, but we prefer to side with the improving DARCEY. She has steadily improved so far this year and started the season by coming plum last, however in her last effort she finished second. By showing more development here she can be victorious. Jewelled beat Spinning Ridge over this trip and conditions here last month but she was benefitting by a disparity in the weights. In this contest they run off the same mark and they should be very close finishers today. Second To Nun has shown little since winning here more than a year ago but was much improved at this course earlier this month when only a length behind Seasonal Cross and is therefore worth noting. In this handicap we go with Darcey to get the victory.
