Verdict

Mark Johnston has sent out two of the last four winners of this and saddles the four-year-old MEDIATE this time. He will have needed his comeback run at Ripon and can beat the three-year-olds, who look a modest bunch. Andrew Balding has also trained two of the last four winners but his Nordic Beat was tailed off on his debut at Lingfield. Heart Locket probably sets the standard on her fourth at Chepstow but it's not a very high one and it would be no surprise to see Charlie Hills' newcomer Tea With Eleanor go close, though there isn't much stamina on her dam's side.
