Verdict

Sky of Stars steps into handicap company for the first time after a close-up second in a maiden at Kempton. Banham has plenty of scope and Shabbah is worth monitoring for any market interest given his trainer's record with similar types. Gawdawpalin was second over this trip at Nottingham on his reappearance while Jarir has found his feet on the all-weather last year. Hygrove Percy was placed here and at Goodwood in the autumn but Disobedience and CITY OF IDEAS (NAP) both ended their first season with victories and should continue progressing. The Godolphin gelding has only had two runs but the latter is preferred as he has a cracking pedigree and should prove much better than a 75-rated handicapper this year.
