Verdict

Though WAVES has a penalty and her recent win over a mile here came on soft going, it’s hard to get away from Eve Johnson Houghton’s filly as credible opposition looks thin on the ground and her stable remains in cracking form. Meteoric Riser could have more to offer having only run once so far on Turf but Pennington continues to disappoint. Cribbs Causeway looks a bigger danger to the selection as she should be suited by the step up to 1m2f and has had the three runs in maidens required to qualify for a handicap mark. Al Jawza looks the pick of the two Hannon entries.
