Verdict
John Gosden has hit form with a vengeance in this past week and he can continue that run with Wait For Spring here, while Paintbox, Principessa and Play Bouzouki are others with chances. The selection ran as well as any of these when runner-up in a 10f Sandown maiden on good to soft in August, before flopping when dropped back to a mile last time. The return to this trip will be firmly in her favour, while the ground should no inconvenience, and with the yard having hit it straps of late we will take a chance on the filly. The extra furlong should suit Paintbox, who may well appreciate softer ground than this, but who ran well in defeat at Epsom last time. Amanda Perrett has an enviable record here and this is another runner that looks sure to go well. Principessa continues to perform consistently, but she has had plenty of chances to break her duck and does not look a proposition for serious money, while Play Bouzouki is another who will come on for the extra distance here after a couple of attempts at a mile. The old firm of Luca Cumani and Frankie Dettori will be hoping for another win together with the Halling filly, and with improvement anticipated she could give the selection most to do. Even so, with his yard now flying we take Wait For Spring to continue John Gosden's Indian Summer.
