In depth

Verdict

Union Rose is on a roll and bids for a fifth course victory but doesn’t have much in hand on Michaels Choice on Sandown running. Princess Power has proved frustrating to follow but she has a chance at the weights, though often gets going too late. Global Prospector will be all the better for his comeback run and Fox Hill had no trouble justifying favouritism at Catterick and handles this much quicker surface. Benny And The Jets has form in slightly better company but has only won once on Turf so far. Devils Roc could go well of a low weight but DELAGATE THIS LORD, a five-times winner here, has a cracking chance from stall one if forgiven a slightly below-par performance last time. Grey Galleon couldn’t cope with a 7lb higher mark in a lower grade at Newmarket last time.
