In depth

Verdict

The step up to 6f at Doncaster last time proved beyond UNION ROSE at this stage in the season. But he'd gone close over the minimum trip at the same track before that and gets another chance in this. River Spirit showed some progress to finish second on the all-weather recently and Jimmy's Girl will no doubt have improved from her debut effort at Windsor. None of the newcomers look anything special on breeding though Maesmor Magic is related to a couple of winners and makes most appeal of them.
