In depth

Verdict

The speedily-bred El Magnifique finished second in a Dundalk barrier trial but Carla's Kodi Bear was last of four in a similar event. The former's yard is also represented by Sacred Territory, a half-brother to 6f winner Cockney Hill, while Moe Sedway is a half-brother to a 1m1f winner. Takana has shown very good pace in both starts under Siobhan Rutledge and her claim is a bonus but SPECIAL POWER would probably have won at Tipperary but for hanging badly left in the closing stages. The visor he wore there is dispensed with here and he can go one better.
