        Verdict

        The final leg of the American Triple Crown series and the winners of the first two stages re-oppose. Kentucky Derby hero Animal Kingdom couldn't peg back Shackleford in the Preakness at Pimlico last time, but is expected to handle this longer trip better than his old foe and can come out best of that duo here. However, today's distance on America's only 1m4f track will suit MASTER OF HOUNDS better than most and the Kentucky Derby fifth is taken to reverse form with the principals and record a famous victory for the Ballydoyle team. Derby runner-up Nehro gave the Preakness a miss and looks a danger as the late finisher will also be suited by this stiffer test of stamina.
