In depth

Verdict

Gurrun has a 6lb penalty to carry for his win at Lingfield last time and has more on his plate now so preference is for Spinning Coin, who gets the vote over Dan's Heir. The last mentioned opened his account on the all-weather at Southwell last time but may be better on the Fibresand than on turf and it remains to be seen whether he can reproduce the form back on turf. Shankly Bond has been performer consistently well of late but is unproven over today's longer trip and of more interest may be Forest Viking, who has similar credentials on form but is more likely to stay the longer trip. Royal Flynn and Highest Return are others worthy of a mention but the vote goes to Spinning Coin, who has improved with each outing this term and if finding more following her win at Pontefract last time, will be tough to beat.
