Verdict
Proud Archi won a better handicap than this at Thirsk last month having scored here in July though is now on his highest ever mark as a consequence. Areen Heart was a close third in that latter event and is much better off at the weights so should reverse the places while the maiden Magillen showed more promise at Newbury in June and should be capable of better. POET'S DAWN was very impressive in much softer ground here on Sunday and enters the fray with a penalty. He's won around here in much faster conditions so looks certain to go well and gets the vote. Pepys is in excellent heart and is only up 4lb for completing a double, initiated over this track and trip, at Musselburgh while Equiano Springs has dropped to a winnable mark and is capable of a big run at a fair price.
