In depth

Verdict

There was plenty to like about the way BURNS NIGHT won last time and he can score again at the main expense of Desire To Excel and Aldaado. The selection hails from a yard in good form and he was good value for his winning margin over this course and distance in a maiden last time. He looks to be on a fair mark for his handicap debut and he should go close. Desire To Excel has won two of his last three races and he looks the obvious danger. He is stepped up in trip today which should suit and he is entitled to make the frame. Aldaado is chasing the hat-trick and he also scored in good style last time at Hamilton. He looks progressive although we suspect he may improve further for a step up in trip. Russian George would have claims on his best form but he disappointed last time and we are happy to stick with Burns Night to lead them home.
