In depth

Verdict

Richard Fahey has won this twice in the last six years and ONE KOOL DUDE is likely to be a warm order to make it three. A very speedily-bred son of Iceman, he was sent to Ireland for his debut and failed by the narrowest margin to catch Jim Bolger's Snowflake Dancer. The Malton handler also runs Lily's Angel but she may need the run and the betting market should give some clues as to the chances of the other newcomers. John Quinn's horses are flying so Red Tyke is one to note despite the fact she's out of a winning hurdler while Mark Johnston's cheaply bought filly Always Ends Well is the first foal of a 6f winner. Nellie Pickersgill is one to keep an eye on as she's a half-sister to four winning sprinters and her yard won a division of this last year.
