Verdict

Ventura Gold looks to have the best chance of Richard Fahey's pair at the top of the weights having completed a double in April before a fair run over this track and trip last time. ARCHIE PERKINS completed a double here in August and returned to winning ways at Redcar so a 3lb rise doesn't look insurmountable. Bit Of A Quirke loves it around here but hasn't been in the best of form while another track winner, Bollin Joan, has been well beaten in both starts this term. Billy Roberts isn't the most consistent but has won from a higher mark and would have a definite chance at his best.
